Static Stabilizers

fully solid-state IGBT, ±1% (existing site)very fast — ~1 to 1.5 cy

An IGBT static voltage stabilizer holds the output voltage steady against input mains fluctuations using fully solid-state, high-frequency PWM switching rather than a motorised variac/servo.

Overview

An IGBT static voltage stabilizer holds the output voltage steady against input mains fluctuations using fully solid-state, high-frequency PWM switching rather than a motorised variac/servo. ACE's design performs direct AC-to-AC conversion (no rectification to DC and back), which improves efficiency and reliability and reduces component count, and uses a small buck-boost transformer (about 1/5th the capacity of a conventional unit) driven by the IGBT stage to add or subtract the correction voltage. The result is very tight output regulation (±1%), correction within about one to two mains cycles, no moving parts, silent operation, compact/lightweight build and maintenance-free life. Buyers choose it over servo stabilizers for far faster correction, no mechanical wear, and clean, distortion-free output. (Existing site features list.)
