Current transformers (CTs) are instrument transformers that step a high primary current down to a standardised low secondary value (typically 5 A or 1 A) for metering, instrumentation and protection-relay circuits, while isolating those circuits from the primary system voltage. ACE manufactures both standard ratio CTs (measuring and protection class) and customised current-sensing CTs engineered to a specific output, core size and accuracy for OEM power-electronics, rectifier and drive applications.
