ACE designs the input/output voltage class, number of phases, power rating (kVA), and the precise input and output frequency combination (e.g. 50->60Hz, 60->50Hz, or 50/60->400Hz) to suit a specific machine, test rig, or installation. Customisation typically extends to the output voltage range and regulation, waveform/THD targets, cooling method, enclosure (IP rating, dimensions, shock-mounting, casters for portability), and protection and metering features. Buyers choose a customised converter when off-the-shelf ratings don't match an imported machine, a defence/aerospace platform demands compliance with specific military standards, or an installation needs a particular cabinet form factor and interface — getting a single unit that does both voltage and frequency conversion exactly to spec.
