Customised Frequency Converters

input/output voltage…sized to load…static / solid-state…

Customised frequency converters are made-to-order static converters engineered to a customer's exact electrical and mechanical requirements rather than a fixed catalogue rating.

Overview

Customised frequency converters are made-to-order static converters engineered to a customer's exact electrical and mechanical requirements rather than a fixed catalogue rating. ACE designs the input/output voltage class, number of phases, power rating (kVA), and the precise input and output frequency combination (e.g. 50->60Hz, 60->50Hz, or 50/60->400Hz) to suit a specific machine, test rig, or installation. Customisation typically extends to the output voltage range and regulation, waveform/THD targets, cooling method, enclosure (IP rating, dimensions, shock-mounting, casters for portability), and protection and metering features. Buyers choose a customised converter when off-the-shelf ratings don't match an imported machine, a defence/aerospace platform demands compliance with specific military standards, or an installation needs a particular cabinet form factor and interface — getting a single unit that does both voltage and frequency conversion exactly to spec.

Applications

  • Imported or special-purpose machinery needing a non-standard or exact supply frequency/voltage
  • Aerospace and avionics 400Hz ground-power and test setups with bespoke ratings
  • Defence and naval platforms requiring MIL-STD-compliant, application-specific converters
  • OEM integration where a particular cabinet, interface, or footprint is mandated
  • Specialised test benches and R&D installations with unique power requirements

Frequently asked questions

Do you build custom frequency converters to specification?
Yes — every unit is engineered to your ratings, voltage, frequency and enclosure. Send your single-line diagram and duty cycle and we build the frequency converters to match.
What quality standard does ACE Electromagnetics work to?
An ISO 9001:2015 quality management system; units are designed and tested to the relevant IEC and IEEE standards for the product type.
How soon will I get a response to a quote request?
Our engineering team replies to quote requests within one business day.
Are the specifications shown on this page final?
They are standard ranges; the final rating is confirmed against your specific requirement on enquiry.
